Thinking About Being Naughty This Holiday Season? Take a Lesson From Google

It’s the age-old question we start asking around this time of year – have you been naughty or nice? It is important to realize by being nice you can be greatly rewarded with the things you deserve whereas, by being naughty, you aren’t getting anything but a big sack of coal (or as my grandmother always told me: all you are getting is switches this year which I always thought was a good thing until I realized what switches really were…). When it comes to business, it is important to always consider how you treat your clients or customers: should you be naughty or nice to them?

If you happened to catch the story in the New York Times earlier this week, you would have read the very lengthy article detailing Clarabelle Rodriguez’s woes regarding her purchase from an online eyewear site that she found on the first page of the Google search engine. After reading the unbelievable story and the response from the retailer Google is stepping in with a very big “smack-down”.

While out for dinner last week, our Operations Manager, Stephanie Elsy, found herself pondering a missing question and that sparked a blog post!
